This session was offered free online to all Guidance Counsellors on Monday 14th April 2025. We believed that many could be interested in attending our European Conference in June 2025 and would benefit from some advance knowledge of Choice Theory psychology and Reality Therapy. All other Guidance Counsellors were welcome too even if not intent on going to the convention.
Brian Lennon presented this two-part introduction. He is a retired Guidance Counsellor and received his initial training from Dr. Glasser himself back in 1985. He has been an advanced instructor since 1989. He is founder and Chairperson Emeritus of William Glasser International, a Fellow of the William Glasser Institute Ireland and a Fellow of the Irish Institute of Guidance Counsellors.
The session began with an introduction to Choice Theory showing how it can be relevant to personal well-being and to the appraisal of students’ lives. This was followed by an overview of Reality Therapy and questions.
