On Saturday 23rd August, the William Glasser Institute Ireland conferred the honour of Fellowship on one of our founding members, Eileen Hearne.
Arthur Dunne did the honours of awarding the Fellowship Certificate to Eileen who was accompanied by her daughter Stacey and son-in-law Peter. Friends and colleagues travelled from practically the four corners of Ireland to share in the celebration.
Eileen had started her training in Reality Therapy in 1986 and, a few years later, became a faculty member of the William Glasser Institute. By the time she retired around 2009, she had trained well over one thousand people in Reality Therapy and Choice Theory. She had also been a very active member of the William Glasser Institute’s National Executive. Eileen is known to us all for her cool calm approach to life, her wonderful smile and her solid common sense. Her wisdom and spirit helped set WGII up on a very solid foundation.
This joyful event was hosted beautifully by Doreen Maher and her husband Tony aided and abetted in the planning by Anne Mannion. Messages of congratulations arrived from Carleen Glasser and from Suzy Hallock Bannigan.
